Art and culture
If you like theatre, music and dance, there are seasons of shows at the Atlàntida, Centre d'Arts Escèniques d'Osona (in catalan) in Vic, including visits from some of the main companies in Catalonia.
For fans of cinema we the Cinema Vigatà (in catalan), the Cinema Nou (in catalan) and the Multicines Sucre (in catalan). On Tuesday evenings there are special Cineclub (in catalan) sessions at the Cinema Nou.

Music and nightlife
There are often live acts at various venues around the city, such as La Cova de Jazz, Pasternak, etc. The city council offers many concerts throughout the year.
Thursday night is party night traditionally in Vic and students cme from far and wide for the biggest events. some of these parties are organised from the University but most are nightclub initiatives.
The highlight of the music calendar is September, which sees the annual Mercat de Música Viva de Vic.
Sports
The main sports area in Vic, very close to the University, has all kinds of facilities where you can do your favourite sports.

Enjoying nature
The city of Vic is a wonderful centre for nature lovers. there are beautiful walks and bicycle rides close to the city and you can pursue many outdoor sports nearby. If you like skiing, there are many ski resorts less than two hours from Vic.
Shopping
Vic is an important shopping and market centre. With your UVic student card you can get discounts on clothes, music, books, sports, electric appliances, glasses, travel tickets and entrance to gyms.
Getting around the city
The city is small enough for you to be able to get to most places easily on foot. There are many city bus routes if you need them.
