Erasmus+ and other exchange programmes

This information is relevant to both students wishing to do an exchange programme at the University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC), and to our partner institutions.

Before coming to UVic-UCC

1. Agreement

We only accept students from universities or other institutions with whom we have an inter-institutional agreement. 


2. Nomination

Students must be nominated by their university and the university must confirm the nominations to UVic-UCC. Universities should send the nominations before the following deadlines:

  • Autumn semester and whole academic year: 30.04.2015
  • Spring semester: 31.10.2015


3. Application

All the nominated students must fill in the online Application Form (Closed)

Note: in order to fill in the form the student has to register (Registration). Click on the link above and follow the steps given. Once the account has been activated successfully, the student can log in with the Email and the password that they filled in when they registered (Log in).

Application deadlines:

  • Autumn semester and whole academic year: 15.05.2015
  • Spring semester: 15.11.2015


4. Period for processing applications

A decision will be sent to each student regarding the application from the International Relations Office via email (and by post when requested):

  • for Autumn semester and whole academic year applications: by 31.05.2015
  • for Spring semester applications: by 30.11.2015


5. General information

Once the acceptance period has been closed, the International Relations Office will contact all the accepted students to welcome them to UVic-UCC and give them further advice for their stay with us:

  • Autumn semester and whole academic year: mid June 2015
  • Spring semester: December 2015


6. Access to the UVic Virtual Campus

All accepted students will be notified via email of their user name and password for the UVic Virtual Campus login.

The Virtual Campus is an intranet with academic, administrative and other information for the university community and tools for communication (i.e. Email, etc.), learning, browsing and dynamic content.


7. Non-academic compulsory documentation

These two documents are a requirement for academic registration at UVic-UCC and the student should send them to the International Relations Office before their arrival at Vic:

  • a digital copy of their European Health Card-EHIC (European citizens only), and
  • a digital copy of their own Private Health Insurance

Both documents must cover the full length of the student’s stay at UVic. More information at Health insurance and visas.


8. Academic documentation

For information on the required academic documentation (i.e. Learning Agreement, pre-registration form, etc.) the student should contact the UVic-UCC international academic coordinator directly.

When the student arrives at UVic-UCC

1. Orientation Week

Before the beginning of each academic semester an Orientation Week is organised for all the international exchange students.

  • Autumn semester: from 2 to 8 September 2015
  • Spring semester: from 20 to 26 January 2016


2. Registration at UVic-UCC

The process of registration will be dealt with by each UVic-UCC international academic coordinator during the Orientation Week. Once the student has chosen the subjects and handed in all the required academic documents they will be registered as a UVic-UCC student. For more information the student should contact the international academic coordinator at UVic-UCC.


3. Start of the academic semester

  • Autumn semester: September 2015*
  • Spring semester: end January 2016*

* Starting dates can vary depending on the faculty the student will be studying in.

Before leaving UVic-UCC

Students should remember that at the end of the academic semester their Learning Agreement and Certificate of Attendance must be signed by the International Relations Office or by the UVic-UCC international academic coordinator.
