The Bachelor of Applied Statistics degree is taught jointly by the Joint University of Barcelona (UAB) and the University of Vic (UVic).

Creating a degree of this kind meets the need of society to process a large amount of information generated by different means. The continuous and progressive development of new technologies of information and communication technologies (ICT) has accelerated this phenomenon significantly, facilitating the worldwide dissemination of large volumes of diverse data types: economic, biological, industrial, officer, etc..

The degree can specialize in different profiles last year by taking one of the following five routes: Bioinformatics, Health Sciences, Demography, Financial Economics, Industry and Technology.
